Mortuary Plans and Prices

PMAdvantage: As a member of PMA, you have the right to choose any of the following six plans for final arrangements with the assurance that your survivors will receive no sales pressure whatsoever to upgrade either the casket, urn or services. You or your survivors may however at your own initiative choose to add further merchandise or services at PMA-discounted prices if you so desire. These prices are extended to our members at time of death and are paid to the funeral home.

Standard Services for Plans 1-6

All PMA Plans include the pick-up and transportation of the deceased PMA member at any hour of the day or night within the local 30 mile service area of selected funeral home, sheltering of remains and refrigeration, conference with survivors for arrangements, procurement and filing death certificate and notification of social security.

Plan 1 - Direct Cremation

Cremation of the remains in an alternative container, standard container for the ashes and storage of ashes for up to 90 days for pickup by survivors.  

Plan 2 - Direct Cremation plus Memorial Service

Cremation of the remains in an alternative container, standard container for the ashes and temporary storage of ashes for up to 90 days for pickup by survivors. Includes use of chapel facilities, handling of flowers, and directing memorial-type services at mortuary on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.  

Plan 3 - Direct Burial WITHOUT Graveside Service

Basic cloth-covered casket, delivery of casketed remains on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM to a cemetery in the local service area. This plan does not include a graveside service.  

Plan 4 - Direct Burial WITH Graveside Service

Basic cloth-covered casket, delivery of casketed remains on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM to a cemetery in the local service area. This plan includes a graveside service.  

Plan 5 - Full Mortuary Services with Basic Casket

Basic cloth-covered casket and the following services as requested: embalming, dressing, cosmetology, use of chapel and/or viewing facilities, directing services at funeral chapel Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, handling of flowers, delivery cemetery in the local service area. This plan does not include a procession or graveside service.  

Plan 6 - Full Mortuary Services with Metal Casket

Basic 20-gauge metal casket and the following services as requested: embalming, dressing, cosmetology, use of chapel and/or viewing facilities, directing services at funeral chapel Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, handling flowers, delivery of the casketed remains to a cemetery in the local service area without a procession or graveside service.  

Home Funerals:

A Sacred Moment has contracted to provide home funerals at discounted prices to members of PMA.  Families wishing to choose a home funeral must arrange a consultation prior to time of death. 

Standard Services for Home Funeral Plans

An in-home consultation and pre-planning.  The personal services of a funeral director for preparation and care of the body, preservation with dry ice for up to 3 days, delivery of casket or alternative container to the home and transportation to cemetery or contracted crematory in local service area between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.  Transportation within 30-mile radius of Seattle office included for all home visits.  Also includes filing of death certificate and notification of social security.  
  

Plan 7 - Home Funeral followed by Cremation

Home Funeral services, includes alternative container, cremation process and cremated remains placed in basic scattering urn for pick-up by next of kin at Seattle office.  For services of funeral director in directing a memorial service between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, including handling of flowers, add $150.   

Plan 8 - Home Funeral followed by Burial

Home Funeral services, including basic cloth-covered casket.  For services of a funeral director in directing a graveside service between 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday, including handling of flowers, add $250.   

What is not included in Plans 1-8

The PMA plans do not include: sales tax, transportation outside the 30 mile service area, ferry or bridge tolls, newspaper obituaries, honoraria for clergy, celebrant or musicians nor copies of death certificate (funeral home will file the original and provide instructions for ordering additional copies), nor other cash advance items.

These contractual mortuary prices are in effect until May 31, 2009, but are subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement entered into by the PMA Board and contracted funeral homes.

Contracted Funeral Homes
